125th Anniversary – Mission & Opening Mass |
St. George Parish, New Baden, IL, was established
Nov. 11, 1894, long before there was a Veterans Day. Beginning
Nov. 11, 2018, and concluding Nov. 11, 2019, we will celebrate the
125th year as a Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Belleville,
Clinton County. Firm dates have not been set as yet, but
the year long celebration will begin with a Mission for our
parish and our partner parish, St. Mary, Trenton, IL,
by Fr. Pete Schavitz, a LaSallett priest. The mission
will begin with the Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, Mass, at 9am,
and conclude the following Thursday. The year of celebration
will close with a Mass probably on Nov. 10, 2019. MUCH more
